1. What services do you offer employers?

We offer extensive hiring, training and retention services at no cost to ensure your long-term success. We help hire entry-level, mid-level and executive talent and provide critical hiring support to employers that are looking to expand or locate in Northeast Ohio. Hiring services include: Posting your job openings to the state’s OhioMeansJobs site, providing referrals to qualified prospective employees from a database of over 40,000 resumes, working with you to create a recruitment plan that is tailored to your unique needs, and developing materials and large-scale recruitment events to support you across the hiring process. We provide access to customized and sector-specific training programs and partners.

2. What’s your relationship with OhioMeansJobs?

OhioMeansJobs Centers, part of the American Job Center network, are located throughout all of Ohio. Greater Cleveland Works oversees the operations and effectiveness of the OhioMeansJobs Center for Cleveland and Cuyahoga County. When you visit us online, over the phone or in person at 1910 Carnegie Avenue, you gain access to a host of services and resources, whether through OhioMeansJobs – Cuyahoga County, our onsite partners, or through our specialized programs and initiatives, like the Built Environment Collaborative. We used to operate more behind-the-scenes, but in 2025 we adopted a new strategic plan, rolled out a new name and brand, and launched a new website to showcase the depth and breadth of services we offer through OhioMeansJobs and beyond.

3. What type of organizations and industries do you work with?

We support small, medium and large employers in Cleveland and Cuyahoga County, from startups to Fortune 500 companies, to nonprofits and civic institutions. We work across industries, with a particular focus on in-demand sectors, including manufacturing, health care, IT, and construction. We aim to partner with employers that support good job qualities, including commitment to career pathways and upskilling.
