1. Who is eligible for your services?

We support all Cleveland and Cuyahoga County residents looking to launch or further their careers, with special expertise in working with un- and underemployed individuals, low-income individuals, youth ages 18-24, veterans, seniors, people with disabilities, individuals with justice system involvement, and non-native English speakers. 

2. What is your relationship to OhioMeansJobs?

OhioMeansJobs Centers, part of the American Job Center network, are located throughout all of Ohio. Greater Cleveland Works oversees the operations and effectiveness of the OhioMeansJobs Center for Cleveland and Cuyahoga County. When you visit us online, over the phone or in person at 1910 Carnegie Avenue, you gain access to a host of services and resources, whether through OhioMeansJobs – Cuyahoga County, our onsite partners, or through our specialized programs and initiatives, like the Built Environment Collaborative. We used to operate more behind-the-scenes, but in 2025 we adopted a new strategic plan, rolled out a new name and brand, and launched a new website to showcase the depth and breadth of services we offer through OhioMeansJobs and beyond.

3. What services do you provide job seekers?

We provide an array of services to meet your unique needs at every step of your career journey. 

For those looking for their first job or in the early stages of their career, we provide career exploration and counseling services to map personal plans and set job goals; resume development; computer-based job search skills, including assistance with online resumes, applications and outreach to potential employers; interview coaching and mock interviews; and access to a robust database of in-demand jobs. 

For those seeking to continue their education or develop new skills to help them go further in their career, we provide access to hands-on training in in-demand industries, including health care, advanced manufacturing and construction; life management and workplace success skills; and scholarship and program searches for advanced learning.  

For those facing roadblocks on their career journey, we provide access to legal services, childcare referrals, transportation support, financial literacy training, assistance for those without internet access, computer and digital skills training, basic skills testing and GED-attainment programming.

4. What industries do you work with?

We support many kinds of employers – from startup businesses to Fortune 500 companies, to nonprofits and government agencies. We work across all industries, with a focus on ones that are driving the Northeast Ohio economy, including health care, manufacturing, IT, and construction. We seek to work with employers who offer good-paying, high-quality jobs with opportunities for advancement.
